I'll overwhelm 'credible fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to build hype for next month's bout.

Former twice unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically known for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead attacked ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.

Financial Success

However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters engaged in the traditional face-off, with their physical disparity on show, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is actually going ahead.
